Family budgeting sounds easy in theory but when it comes to putting your plan into practice, it is easy to fall short of your targets.

Even the most seemingly meticulously put together family budgets will fail unless some very important points are focused on. You literally need to think about every single thing in your life that you spend money on and write it down. This covers large items like rent or mortgage payments, right down to school lunches and bus fares. If a cent is spent, then it has to be recorded.
