Save Time And Money With Leftover Recipes

Dinner is over and now you are busy putting away all those leftovers, while in the back of your mind you know they will most likely go to waste.  If your family is not too thrilled with eating leftovers then it is time to get creative.  How about saving some money by planning ahead with some leftover recipes that your family will love.

Lets say you prepare a meal of roasted pork  for Sunday dinner. Nobody is in the mood for leftovers the next day so the pork ends up in the back of the refrigerator, only to be thrown out at the end of the week. However, by creating leftover recipes you will find inventive ways to feed your family and save money.

How about shredding that leftover pork  and warm in a skillet with some homemade or bottled barbecue sauce.  Serve on buns for some delicious sandwiches.   Round out the meal with oven fries, carrot sticks and applesauce for a quick and frugal dinner.

Take leftover meatloaf from last nights dinner and chop it up.  Now mix with a jar of pasta sauce, warm through and serve over spaghetti.   Since the meat is already cooked you just saved a lot of time. If you use your imagination you can come up with lots of meal ideas that will give your leftovers a whole new twist.

By coming up with creative leftover recipes you will save both money and time.  No more boring leftovers and no more wasted food getting thrown out each week. You family will really enjoy the new creative ways you come up with to use leftovers.

The next time you plan your dinner try to come up with your own leftover recipes in advance to stretch your budget.  You will appreciate both the time and money saved.
