Pork Chops With Apples And Stuffing
I know that some cuts of meat aren’t always economical but with anything else if you buy in bulk you can usually save money. Not to mention the prep time for this meal is under 15 minutes and dinner can be on the table in under an hour so it is one of those meals that is nice to have the ingredients on hand for. It is so tempting to order dinner out or pick up fast food when you just don’t have a plan in advance. That’s why it is nice to always have ingredients for a few quick backup meals on hand so that you aren’t caught off guard when you don’t have time to cook.
Pork Chops With Apples And Stuffing
6 boneless pork loin chops , about 1 inch thick
1 box stuffing mix, prepared (I use chicken flavor stove top stuffing)
1 can apple pie filling
oil for browning pork chops
Preheat oven to 350. Prepare stuffing according to package directions. Meanwhile, brown pork chops in about a tablespoon of oil until nicely browned on both sides.
Grease 13×9 baking dish and spread apple pie filling over bottom. Top with browned pork chops then layer stuffing over pork chops. Cover with foil and bake 35 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes or until pork chops are cooked through.
Delicious meal that you can keep simple with a hot vegetable such as green beans on the side.
